WEDNESDAY 13 Continuing Work On 'Weirdo-A-Go-Go' Show
May 16, 2007Former MURDERDOLLS frontman WEDNESDAY 13 has issued the following update:
"Wednesday and the band returned home from their seven-week tour overseas on May 3rd.
"We had already started setting up the U.S tour with THE 69 EYES before that tour ended — which meant more upcoming rehearsals, creating new merch and getting everything together for our support slot.
"At the end of May, Wednesday will return to Phoenix, AZ to finish the first episode of Wednesday 13's [show] 'Weirdo-A-Go-Go'. The schedule is extremely tight as Wednesday is gearing up for tour and Core Entertianment is busy working with AVENGED SEVENFOLD, EVANESCENCE and others.
"Wednesday has about four days left of shooting — then it goes straight to editing, praying for an October release.
"Wednesday will then go home for about 10 days before starting rehearsal for the U.S. 69 EYES tour.
"Once that tour ends, Wednesday will begin writing new music — both for BOURBON CROW [collaboration with Rayen 'Kid Kid' Belchere] and for the new WEDNESDAY 13 CD.
"There are also a few other things planned, but it's too early to discuss..."
Wednesday 13's show, entitled "Weirdo A-Go-Go", will feature the campy and morbid sense of humor that any fans of Wednesday 13 can expect. In the first two episodes, Wednesday 13 hosts clips and trailers of cheap horror flicks, along with performing schlocky but witty skits with his strange and wacky sidekicks. The program promises to resurrect the tradition of Saturday morning TV shows that Wednesday 13 grew up on — the random creations of Sid and Marty Krofft and Pee Wee's Playhouse mixed with the comedic approach of horror hosts Commander USA, Elvira, and Zacherely.
The project, to be distributed by Horror High, LLC, was shot by Rafa of Core Entertainment, Inc.Rafa is most noted for the video and web site projects he has done for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, EVANESENCE, ROB ZOMBIE, DISTURBED, STATIC-X and the Dimebag tribute bracelet.
As previously reported, WEDNESDAY 13's video for the song "Home Sweet Homicide" has been posted online at this location. The track comes off the singer's sophomore solo effort, "Fang Bang", which was released in the U.S. on Sept. 12, 2006 via Restless Records/Rykodisc.
